Delphine Plafcan, age 88 of Foley, MN, died Tuesday October 9, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Foley Funeral Home Chapel, Foley. The Deacon Fred Reker will officiate. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.

Friends may call from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Delphine Plafcan was born March 24, 1924 in Langola Township, Benton Co., MN to William L. and Anna H. (Kerowski) Christle. She married Alex Plafcan on May 13, 1948 Rice, MN. The couple lived and farmed near Holdingford, MN before moving to the Foley area. Delphine worked hard and farmed all of her life up until the time she became ill. She was a loving mother and raised 5 children. She always looked forward to the holidays when she could spend time with her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching wrestling and going out to eat and thrift shopping with her family. She was fondly known for her potato kulaski, the best you have ever tasted. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sons and daughter, Ernest, Foley, MN; Diane Maslonkowski, Foley, MN; Arnie, Foley, MN; Larry, Foley, MN; Steve, St. Cloud, MN, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alex and brothers and sisters, Tony, Art, Herbert, Agnes and Lorraine.
