Dale Abfalter, age 63, of Sauk Rapids, MN, died Monday October 1, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm, MN. The Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and 1 hour before services at church. Parish prayers will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Dale Abfalter was born May 20, 1949 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to George and Carrie (Smith) Abfalter. He married Mary Terrio April 26, 1997. He had worked for the Foley, Tech and Cathedral High Schools and most recently for Coborns Bakery. He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, Sauk Rapids, MN; son and daughter, Brice Abfalter and Stacey Abfalter, Sauk Rapids, MN; step-son, Jason (Amy) Ness, St. Cloud, MN; step-daughter, Nicole (Brad) Sankey, Plymouth, MN; grandchildren, Morgan and Jeremy Ness, John and Ben Sankey; brothers and sisters, Clarence, Richard, Jerry, Ron, Bruce, Lawrence, John, Betty Kruchten, Donna Gaebel and Shelly Dircks.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian, parents, sisters, Mary Roberts and Dolores Borash.
