Corrine Kornovich, age 97, of Foley, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Foley Nursing Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Foreston. The Rev. James Remmerswaal will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 Tuesday at the Foley Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. St. Louis Christian Mothers will pray the Rosary at 7 pm Tuesday evening. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.
Corrine Kornovich was born October 14, 1916 in Barney, North Dakota to Thomas and Philomina 'Minnie' (Lesnau) Moulzolf. She married Raymond Kornovich on October 25, 1938 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Brennyville. After their marriage the couple lived and farmed near Oak Park for many years. Corrine was a wonderful and caring mother. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed crocheting and sewing, gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughters and son Karin (James) Weitgenant, Nisswa; Renee (Chuck) Carlson, Oak Park; Ashley (Theresa), Rosemount; Coralin (Kevin) Kelash, Oak Park; sister, Erma Bruner of Foley, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Raymond, twin great granddaughters, Olivia and Julia Weitgenant, sisters and brothers; Delores Lachinski, Claire Ellenwood, Millie Ferguson and Ervin, Melvin, Eugene, Norvil and Myron Moulzolf.
