Char Herbrand Gondeck, age 84, of Foley, died Wednesday June 1, 2011 at the Foley Nursing Center, Foley, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. The Rev. Robert Kieffer will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and from 9 - 10 am Friday at the funeral home. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. Thursday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Charlotte Gondeck was born January 20, 1927 in Foley, Minnesota to Alphonse and Dolly (Latterell) Herbrand. She married Val Gondeck April 11, 1947 St. Patrick's Catholic Church in rural Sauk Rapids, MN. She had graduated from Foley High School and was a life long resident of Foley. She had worked at Halls Mercantile, Skogmos and Foley Variety Store. She had owned Char's Yarn and Crafts until her retirement. She enjoyed crafts and quilting and was an avid artist. She was a past member of the Foley Legion Auxiliary; St. John's Catholic Church where she was a member of the Christian Mothers.

She is survived by her daughter and sons, Cindy Niess, Foley, MN; Tim 'Rocky', Foley, MN; Robin, Foley, MN; Craig (Jana), Rice, MN; Jeff, Foley, MN; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and brother, Mike, Foley, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Val, sisters, Lorraine, Joann, Kathleen, daughters-in-law, Mary and Janice, twin great granddaughters, Gabrielle and Hailey Gazett.
