Charles 'Charley' Carlson, age 80, of Oak Park, MN, died Friday, December 3, 2010 at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Oak Park, MN. The Rev. Barb Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Ronneby, MN.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 Sunday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Prayer services will be 5:00 pm Sunday evening at the Foley Funeral Home. Arrangements were made the by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Charles Carlson was born December 21, 1929 in Maywood Township, Benton Co., MN to Carl G. and Gesine (Rodewald) Carlson. He married Helen Poorker on April 16, 1949 in Milaca, MN. Charles had lived most of his life in Maywood Township, Benton County, MN. He owned and operated Carlson Sand and Gravel for many years. He also farmed and worked for Anderson Construction and was a member of the Local 49ers Union. Charley liked to ice fish and hunt. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Oak Park, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, Oak Park, MN, sons and daughters; Tom (Judy), Burlington, WA; Chuck (Renee), Oak Park, MN; Diane Nordang, Las Crucis, NM; Linda (Dewey) Kunkel, Clearwater, MN; Lorri (Gary) Feidt, Crystal, MN; sister, Evelyn Scheper, Foley, MN; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son , Michael, December 22, 1972 and sister, Dorothy McNitt-Wendell.
