Catherine Wiltgen, age 83, Foley, MN went to join our Lord Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN from heart complications. Catherine was surrounded by her family who loved her to the moon and back and then some.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. The Rev. Al Stangl will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 Sunday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and after 9:00 am Monday at the Foley Funeral Home. Franciscan Wake Services will be at 6:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Catherine Rose Wiltgen was born July 18, 1928 in Alberta Township, Benton Co., MN to Frank and Katherine (Melich) Templin. She married Raphael 'Bud' Wiltgen on September 10, 1946 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, MN. She had lived all of her life in the Foley area. She co-owned and operated Wiltgen Trucking in Foley from 1958-1986 and also the Parkway in Foley during the early 1950's. Catherine was involved in many church activities including the church choir. She played the Wizard of Oz in the production for her daughters 40th birthday parties and in her early days she had done in-store modeling for Lane Bryant, and received awards for Grandma Kate's in-home daycare for many children, after raising her own 12 children. She was a member of the Secular Franciscan's and St. John's Catholic Church. Catherine enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, crocheting and knitting. She played piano, harmonica and the accordian. Her love and guidance to her family was inspirational. She is now at peace with her mentor, Our Lord. Special thanks to the loving and caring staff at the Country Manor Nursing Home and the St. Cloud Hospital.

She is survived by her sons and daughters; Jackie (Darrel) Guggenberger, Sauk Rapids, MN; Mike 'Willie' (Gean), St. Joseph, MN; Kitty (David) Herbst; Foley, MN; Gerianne Johnson, Hillman, MN; Mary Waddell, Mesa, AZ; Judy (Marvin) Reinke; St. Cloud, MN; Delores Wiltgen, Sedona, AZ; Stephen (Lori), Foley, MN; Karen (Joe) Alvord, Richmond, MN; Dave (Carol), Foley, MN; 34 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, sister, SR. Winifred Templin OSF, Sylvania, OH and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Mager Wiltgen, St. Cloud, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; Raphael 'Bud', June 8, 1962, son, Richard and daughter, Marge Wiltgen-Schyma, grandson, Eric Waddell and great grandsons, Zach and Andrew Narlock, brothers and sisters, Carl, Tony, Leo, Frankie, Wanda Keppers, Lorraine Henry, Ida Haffner, Helen Templin, Adeline Henry and Josie Keppers.
