Carol J. Benson, age 64, St. Cloud, MN, died Wednesday September 8, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, Foley, MN. The Rev. Tim Wittwer will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Lutheran Cemetery, Ronneby, MN.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 am Saturday at the church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.
Carol Benson was born October 29, 1945 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Clarence and Clarice (Hillman) Benson. She lived in Opportunity Manor in St. Cloud, MN for the past 25 years. She loved to laugh. Carol enjoyed pretty dresses, shoes and socks. She also liked Pringles. She was nonverbal but had her own sign language to communicate. Her roommate, Mavis was also nonverbal the two of them could communicate wonderfully together. She had great care-givers at Opportunity Manor. Carol was a member of Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, Foley, MN.
She is survived by her brother and sister, Jerry, Foley; Lois (Richard) Piram, Maple Grove, MN; 3 nieces and 1 nephew and 5 great nieces.
