Benjamin Kothman, age 94, of Foley, MN, died Monday December 13, 2010 at Talahi Care Center, St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church, Foley., MN The Rev. Allen Jergenson & Rev. Jeff Loewen will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Francis Cemetery, rural Foley, MN.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Prayers services will be at 6 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Benjamin Kothman was born November 29, 1916 in Foley, MN to William and Isabelle (Milton) Kothman. He married Hazel Forschen May 4, 1938 at Maywood Mission Covenant Church, Foley and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2000. He later married Norma Chevalier and she also preceded him in death. Ben lived and farmed his entire life in Maywood Township, Benton Co.,MN He also worked for Offet Potato Co., in Becker, MN and Benton County Co-op Telephine Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and dancing. Ben especially enjoyed helping others. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his sons and daughters; Beverly (Dennis) Cielinski, Brainerd, MN; Helen (Floyd) Albright, Renton, WA; Earl (Linda), St. Cloud, MN; Barb (Dennis) Kennedy, Garland, TX; Marlys Pekarek, Little Falls, MN; Sheila (Larry Helmin) Kothman, Elk River, MN; Brent (Mara), Foley, MN; 27 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his, son, Bruce and daughter Marilyn Kothman, brothers and sister, Bill, Milton and Kathryn Malikowski.
