Ardith Andersen, age 91 of St. Cloud passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Assumption Community in Cold Spring. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Ronneby, Minnesota. Rev. Barbara Peterson will officiate and burial will take place at Ronneby Riverside Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11:00 AM at the church on Saturday. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home. Ardith Celeste-Selma Andersen was born December 9, 1930 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Albert and Selma (Christence) Reese. She married Neil Wahl on April 11, 1950 in Benson, Minnesota. Because of Neil's construction job, the family relocated many times before settling in Oak Park in 1960. Ardith helped Neil with their cattle hauling business, Wahl Trucking and worked other various jobs. Neil preceded her in death in 1965.She later married Harland Andersen on September 19, 1966 in Sisseton, South Dakota and they had two daughters together; Karen Andersen and Kristi Andersen-Palmer. Harland preceded her in death on April 8, 2008. She worked for Armour Meats and owned and operated the Oak Park Hotel and worked for Dombrowski Meats until her retirement. Ardith enjoyed gardening, playing cards and dice and especially liked playing games with her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her baking, nobody ever left the house without a fresh cookie. She was a long time member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children: Dennis Wahl, St. Cloud; Sharon (Tom) Fitzpatrick, Foley; Douglas (Staci) Wahl, Batesville, AR,; Karen Andersen, St. Cloud and Kristi Andersen-Palmer of St. Cloud, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a brother, Albert Reese. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers, Stanley and Joe and a sister, Alice Guilfoile. The family would like to thank the Assumption Community, Moments Hospice, Care Free Living, Lutheran Social Services, especially, Melvin for all their care and compassion.
