Alton Foss, age 82, of Foley, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Foley Nursing Center.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, Foley. The Rev. Allen Jergenson will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at the church.  Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.
Alton Foss was born April 9, 1934 in Deer Township, Roseau County Minnesota to Anton and Selma (Qualey) Foss.  Her married Donna Mae Lezer on December 19, 1953 in St. Cloud, Minnesota.  Al was employed by Coborns Grocery in Sauk Rapids from 1954 to 1968.  He transferred to Coborns Grocery in Foley in 1968 and worked as manager until his retirement in 1991.
He is survived by his wife Donna Mae, Foley, children; Debra (Bob) Cross, Donna (Terry) Yeager, Duane (Wanda), Allen (Beverly), Audrey (Ken) Twit, Arnold (Susie), Arlynn (Tim) Miller; 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sisters, Orville (Jesse), Alvin (Annie), Raymond (Mabel), Lila (Daniel and Tony), infant brother, Arlo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Daniel (Lorinda) Lezer, grandchildren; Charles Cross and Kathy Foss, great grandchildren; Myles Hannan and Rylee Schmitz.
