Adeline Kipka, age 92, of Sauk Rapids, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 Tuesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.
Adeline Kipka was born December 30, 1920 in Alberta Township, Benton Co. to Joseph and Clara (Katka) Malikowski. She married Herbert Kipka on February 20, 1939 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The couple lived and farmed for over 50 years in Mayhew Lake Township, Benton County. Adeline was a homemaker and raised her family on the farm. She enjoyed gardening and canning and was an excellent cook. Adeline also enjoyed sewing and crocheting and reading. She was a past member of the Christian Mothers and a life member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters; Rose Anne Jurek, Gilman; Darrell 'Butch' (Sharon), Foley; Herbert Jr., (Karen), St. Francis; Judith (John) Kipka-Jurek, Foley; Diane (Mike) Carlson, Forest City, IA; Lorree (Jay) Josephs, Sauk Rapids; Karen (Joe) Thull, St. Cloud; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Doreen Galarneault, Foreston and Betty Czarnetzki of Sartell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herbert; sons Ronald and Donald; brothers, Daniel, LeRoy 'Mac' and sister Lucille 'Sis' Grover.
