Adam W. Novak - 85

Foley, MN

February 15, 1927 - August 13, 2012

Adam W. Novak, age 85, of Foley, MN, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Brennyville, MN. The Rev. Laurin Vernig will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Foley American Legion.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and 1 hour before services at church. Knights of Columbus prayers will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Adam Novak was born February 15, 1927 in Alberta Twp.,Benton Co.,MN to Thomas and Mastey (Rose) Novak. He married Rita Brenny May 8, 1950 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville He farmed all his life in Benton County and had celebrated 62 years of mairrage to Rita. He was a block layer by trade in the St. Cloud area for over 50 years starting wage of $1 an hour.. He was a US Marine Veteran. Most important to Adam were his family and special time. He was a member of the Gilman Knights of Columbus and St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville.

He is survived by his wife, Rita, Foley, MN; sons and daughters, Charlene (Bob) Sromek, Princeton, MN; Noreen (Larry) Larsen, Andover, MN; Rich (Carol), Andover, MN; Ron (Carol), East Bethel, MN; Marlene (Bill) Roessler, Oak Grove, MN; Randy (Pam), Hillman, MN; Glorene (Chad) Weisser, Gilman, MN; Rudy (Vonnie), Becker, MN; 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; brother, Alvin (Lorraine), Foley, MN; sisters, Rosie Pulczinski, Bemidji, MN; Eileen (Don) Bialke, Big Lake, MN; Betty (Mark Brenny) Motschke, Oak Park, MN; sisters-in-law, Connie Novak, Foley, MN; and Lorraine Novak, Foley, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Rex, 12-15-1990, great granddaughter, Anastajia Kearns, sister and brothers, Evalin, Norbert and LeRoy, brothers-in-law, Cy Pulczinski and Reine Motschke.
