Dennis Novak

Dennis Novak, age 71, of Hillman passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.  Memorial services celebrating the life of Dennis will be Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Morrill.  Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the church with Parish Prayers at 5:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services on Friday.  Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.  

Dennis Harvey Novak was born July 18, 1946 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Dominic and Gladys (Graczyk) Novak.  On September 20, 1965, he was united in marriage with Pat Popp at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Buckman.  Dennis worked for B.F. Nelson and Ware Manufacturing in New Hope for 40 years.  He also farmed near Ramey until he retired in 2016.  Dennis enjoyed football, NASCAR, Schmidt Beer, playing cards and cribbage, and only owned Ford trucks.  He loved spending time with his family and his dogs.  Dennis was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. 

Dennis is survived by his wife, Pat of Hillman; son Alan (Kim) of Foley; daughters Jessica (Kevin) Walcheski of Foley and Shannon (Kevin) Packer of Blaine; siblings:  Gordy of Rice, Diana Novak of St. Francis, Chuck of Foley, Carol Jensen of Deerwood, Jeff of Foley, and Loran of Sauk Rapids; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry Novak.
