Ronald Kampa, age 68 of Foley, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home. Memorial Mass will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Brennyville. The Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate.  Military Honors will follow.  Friends may call from 9:30-11:00 AM Friday at the church in Brennyville.  

 Ronald Lee Kampa was born April 6, 1948 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the son of Ervin and Helen (Strand) Kampa.  He attended Foley Schools and lived in the Foley area his entire life.  He proudly served our country in the United States Army from April 13, 1966 – August 14, 1968.  On February 2, 1974, he was united in marriage with Kathleen ‘Kitty’ Haffner at St. John’s Catholic Church in Foley.  Ronald worked for Benton County Highway Department until he retired.  He was a member of IUOE Local 49 and St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.  Ronald was a true outdoorsman.  He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, fixing up cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.

  He is survived by his wife, Kitty of Foley; daughters:  Stacy (Chad) Thompson of New Prague, Tina (James) Bauer of Royalton and Rhonda (Billy) Juetten of Foley;  7 grandchildren;  brothers:  Gerald (Karen) Kampa of Foley, Delroy (Lana) Kampa of Foley and Dale Kampa of North Dakota; sisters:  Janet (Jerry) Deters of St. Cloud, Joanne Kampa of St. Cloud and Joyce (James) Walcheski of Foley;   as well as other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
