Paulette 'Pauli' Houdek age 76 of Foley passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman.  Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 18th at the Foley Funeral Home and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church on Saturday.  Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.  Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.

Paulette 'Pauli' Houdek was born June 18, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Spencer and Verna (Hoppe) Toren.  She married James Houdek on June 29, 1963 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia, Minnesota.  She resided in rural Olivia for several years.  She was employed at Northwestern Bank in Minneapolis; Control Data in Redwood Falls; Willmar Poultry in Foley and Champion Paper Mill in Sartell, retiring in 1999.  Pauli was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman.  Pauli enjoyed music and was a gifted singer.  She sang in Sweet Adeline's Choir, the church choir, and the Singing G's where she sang at neighboring nursing homes.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and going to the casino.  She will be remembered as a wonderful mother to her children.

She is survived by her husband, Jim, Foley and children; Brian (Tammy), Foreston; Brad (Juvy), Foley and Beth (Terry) Thorsten of Foley, three grandchildren; Eric and Kayla Thorsten, Meghan Houdek and step-grandchildren; Jared and Joreen and one great-grandson, Bentley Hale.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to thank the staff of the St. Cloud Hospital, Foley Nursing center and Whispering Willows Adult Day Services for all their loving care.
