Michelle Hackett, age 56 of Foley, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. 
  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Rice. 
  Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Friday at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Parish Prayers will be at 5:00 PM Friday evening at church. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.

Michelle Marie Hackett was born April 16, 1959 in St. Cloud, MN to Richard and Jackie (Krupa) Kampa.  She married Russ Hackett on September 14, 2007 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She graduated from Foley High School in 1977 and attended beauty school in St. Cloud.  Michelle worked for and later owned Princes K Beauty Salon in Foley for 35 years.  She co-chaired the Benton County Relay for Life; was a member of the Foley American Legion Auxiliary; SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Christian Mother's.  Michelle enjoyed gardening and traveling, fishing and bird watching.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  
  She is survived by her husband,  Russ, Foley, daughters; Nicole (Mark) Sauer, Rice; Samantha (Robert) Ratka, Foley, parents, Richard and Jackie Kampa, Foley, step-children; Jay (Tonia) Hackett, Duelm; Jon Hackett, Foreston; Jennifer U-Ren (Jim Collins), Willmar; Justin (Lindsy) Hackett, Foley and grandchildren, Brayden and Jerret Sauer, step-grandchildren; Samantha, Shawn, Paul, Charlie, Audrey, Calvin, Carly, Sophia and Reagan, brother and sisters; Joe (Michele), Foley; Sharon Kampa (Pat Malimanek), Albert Lea; Patty (Jerry) Theis, Buckman; Connie (Ken) Bauman, Clear Lake; Julie (Paul) Thompson, Elk  Grove, CA; Becky (Bernie) Rasmussen, Foley and Kathy (Lyle) Lewandowski of Foley.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents and an infant grandchild.
