Funeral Services for Marcella Ann Hogendorn, age 90, of Foley will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Foley Funeral Home Chapel.  Friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home on Monday.  The Rev Yolanda Lehman will officiate and burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.  Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.
Marcella Hogendorn was born April 11, 1927 in Leigh, Nebraska to Joseph and Antonia (Dolesh) Kouba.  She married John G. Hogendorn on January 21, 1947 in Nebraska.  The couple farmed in Nebraska before moving to the Foley area in 1956.  Marcella was a homemaker and farmed with her husband for many years They spent many years wintering in Texas before moving to Sartell in 2003.  She was a past member of the Foley Lions Club where she was a Melvin Jones award recipient.  Marcella belonged to the Mayhew Lake-Benton County Homemakers Club for many years.  She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers; was an active 4-H leader and enjoyed MANY softball games watching sons and grandsons play. Marcella also enjoyed crafting and doing embroidery work.  The family would like to thank Ridgeview Place and Heritage of Foley for all the special care given to Marcella. 
She is survived by her sons and daughter; Neil (Mary), Sauk Rapids; John D. (Jody), Foley and Debra Bixby (Paul Hanson), Dayton; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John G. and son-in-law, Mikel Bixby.
