Allison Rose Helmin was born April 15, 2007 in St. Cloud, Minnesota the daughter of Luke and Janell (Brown) Helmin.  She was in fourth grade at Milaca Elementary School.  Ally was a sweet and fun little girl who loved singing, shopping, snacking and shiny shoes.  She was a true Daddy's Girl and cherished time with Luke in the outdoors - fishing, hunting, swimming, horses, four-wheelers and even helping him at work.  Ally delighted in the adventure of travel and enjoyed trips to: Wisconsin Dells, Mexico, Big Sky Montana, and swimming with dolphins on a Disney Cruise.  She treasured time at her grandparent's cabin; playing cards, roasting hot dogs and eating s’mores around the bonfire.  Most of all, Ally loved spending time with her friends and her sisters.

Ally was a brilliant little girl with an extraordinary heart.  She walked against the grain every day and felt no need to conform to anyone’s expectations.  She could wheel and deal and before you knew it you had dealt right into her hand.  She enjoyed life to its fullest even as her body’s senses were taken.  Never once did she complain of feel bad for herself.  When she would say, “I love you” she had a ring in it that truly made you feel special.  Allison has done her job here on earth, she changed many for the better, and the powers that be decided it was time for her to go home.

She is survived by her parents, Luke & Janell of Foley; sisters:  Shelby and Payton; maternal grandparents, James & Lou Brown of Foley; paternal grandparents, Bill & Janet Helmin of Foley; great-grandparents:  Ann Wirth of Pierz, Margaret Helmin of Brainerd and Alice Gombus of Foley; aunts & uncles:  Jill (Jerry) Lentner of Hillman, Jackie (Steve) Och of Long Prairie, Jody (Craig) Jacobi of Stillwater, Jeanette (Michael) Hiemenz of Foley, Jolene (Nick) Kapsner of Foley,  Heather (Dan) James of Pequot Lakes, Katie (Ben) Novak of Foley; as well as many cousins, other relatives and friends. Allison was preceded in death by her great-grandparents:  Arthur 'Jim' & Rose Brown, Merlin Wirth, Edwin Helmin, Gerald Gombus; and aunt, Mary Margaret Helmin.
