Allan 'Al'  Henry, age 68, of Golden Valley and formerly Princeton passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Golden Valley Rehabilitation and Care Center in Golden Valley.  A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:30-1:00 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Foley Funeral Home followed by a graveside service with full military honors at 2 PM at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Allan Paul Henry was born February 23, 1949 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the son of William and Alice (Koslowski) Henry.  He graduated from Foley High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.  Upon returning home, he spent some time helping on the family farm and doing construction before going to work for Hoffman Engineering, where he spent most of his working career. Al retired from Hoffman Engineering and made his home in Princeton.  He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, looking at wildlife, and listening to Country music.  Al was a man who like to ‘make old things new’ and enjoyed the challenge of refinishing furniture and keeping his Chevelle and motorcycles polished to a T.  

Al is survived by his daughter, Julie (Eddy) Florell of Princeton; grandson, Hunter; sister, Janice (Dave) Jenson of St. Cloud; nephew, Sheldon Jenson of Princeton; as well as other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Hardy.
